Current camera phones can go up to 8 megapixels so far but a recent rumors around the web says that Samsung is getting ready to launch a 12 megapixel camera soon. Samsung was the first cell phone manufacturer to release an 8 megapixel camera phone so we wouldn’t be surprised if the company was the first to launch a 12 megapixel camera phone.

According to a Korean publication, the phone will arrive at the MWC 2009 first and it will enter production later in February. The unnamed device will be launched in Europe first, if we are to believe these rumors. Are any other cell phone makers going to follow Samsung and offer similar cameras?
