InvenSense’s IDG-1000 in World's First Blu Ray Cams

Hitachi integrates InvenSense’s popular IDG-1000 gyroscope in its new and world’s first Blu-ray disc camcorders. The IDG-1000 series gyroscope is used in a number of digital cameras to enable image stabilization. The gyroscope features unique MEMS design which inherently rejects vibration from the motors of the video disc recorders and hard drives to ensure true hand motion is accurately measured. This compact design also enables the gyroscope to withstand high shock from falls more than 10,000G thus making it best for handheld devices where drops are common to occur. IDG-1000 incorporates InvenSense’s proprietary and patented Nasiri-Fabrication, which is a dual axis process and uses silicon technology to create smallest footprint with highest shock tolerance.
“We are very pleased that our IDG-1000 gyroscope was found to be the best to meet all of the technical and performance requirements for Hitachi’s advanced high-definition camcorders,” said Steve Nasiri, InvenSense’s President and CEO. “As the only motion sensor company focused exclusively on serving the needs of the consumer market, we are continuously striving to exceed market requirements with the best performance, most reliable and highest quality gyroscope solutions.”
