Nethra Imaging launched its second generation smart camera chips, The NI-2065/66 programmable image processor family has capabilities to be integrated into camera module designs and handsets to give beautiful images as output. Being small with the ability to fit into a 5mm x 6mm package allows designers to create form factors as small as 8.5mm x 8.5mm for mobile devices. Second generation imaging pipeline optimized for small-pixel sensors powered with High pixel clock gives highest frame rate for video and still captures. Other features include image stabilization mode for reducing image blur, NightMode to help with extraction of details in low light, continuously variable frame rate, 30 fps preview with a fast auto focus time, and Sportsmode to reduce object motion blur. Also an AdaptiveEye™ feature aims at providing shadow enhancement to bring out the details in low intensity, high intensity and backlit environments.
