AgfaPhoto Announces Optima 1, 100 and 102 Point-and-Shoot Cameras

We have three more point-and-shoot cameras, and this time they’re coming from AgfaPhoto. Three new Optima cameras, the 1, 100 and 102 will be available in stores soon. These new babies are “perfect for the ambitious photographer” as long as the ambitious photographer is just starting to take pictures. The new Optima cameras are rather entry-level machines which won’t last long in the hands of a professional.

The Optima 1 and 102 come with a 12-megapixel sensor while the 100 only has a 10-megapixel one. You can also expect zoom capabilities from 3x to 5x, LCD sizes from 2.7- to 3-inches. The cameras also cum with 28 automated functions which means taking pictures will be a lot easier with a new Optima. And since these are entry-level cameras, they get entry-level prices. You can expect to pay from $186 (probably for the 100) to $258 when they hit stores in September. Nothing is certain about prices just yet but we do know Europe will get them first with other markets to follow soon.
