Android Sekai Camera Pioneering Mobile Social Tagging

Tagging for mobile users is on the upswing and chances are with the right camera and software, anyone can get into social tagging using mobile interface. The augmented reality app, which was unveiled for the first time during TechCrunch 50 last September, is not iPhone-only anymore. Sekai Camera is supposed to make it possible for phone users to tag objects and locations in the real world by using their camera phones.

As presented in an event presented by Nikkei, CEO Takahito Iguchi said that Sekai Camera could be used for social gaming in the future. The icons and comment boxes seemed to be a tad prettier in the Android version, which isn’t really that unimportant in a tagging app.
