Aptina MT9E013 image sensor
Aptina, a leading provider of CMOS image sensors has unveiled its new MT9E013 8MP image sensor. This one Aptina’s latest multi-mega pixel sensor designed to meet the needs of the image centric mobile market. It is capable of delivering an exceptional performance with its 1.4-micron pixels in a high-end 1/3.2-inch optical format.
The new MT9E013 from the house of Aptina provides a high definition video of 720p at 30fps and 60fps or 1080p at 30fps. This sensor lets mobile phone manufacturers to easily update their existing 1/3.2-inch optical format designs. Featuring 2-lane MIPI, CCP2 and parallel interfaces, this sensor provides high-speed flexible options.
Aptina’s MT9E013 image sensor delivers a high image quality. Its low power circuit design reduces preview power consumption to low levels to save cell phone battery lifetime. This new sensor is expected to be available with mass production by July end 2009, while currently its samples are available in the market.
