Here is another opportunity for aspiring and amateur photographers to check out. All you have to do is take snapshots around the Aquarium and then submit them via public photo sharing site until August 16 midnight and you can be a potential winner for this “It’s a Snap” photo contest.

10 finalists will be selected between August 17 to 30. The lucky finalists will be notified and encouraged to campaign and stump for votes for their photos for the proper exposure after which the winners will be announced on August 31, 2009.

In order to participate, applicants must upload digital images to a public photo sharing site, and “tag” the photo with “Aquarium of the Bay Photo Competition.” Applicants are encouraged to upload their images to the Aquarium’s Flickr group. Once the photos are uploaded and tagged, applicants will e-mail the link to katis@aquariumofthebay.org.

This is a great opportunity for amateur photographers to get a feel of how it is to be creative with their cameras. Who knows? You may even get to be a better photographer after this experience.
