Now, I know just as well as you do that when you start introducing terms like “smartest” or “biggest” or “coolest” that you’ve just introduced a margin of error.  After all, a lot of that is subjective.  Darned subjective, in point of fact.  But with the Archerfish Solo, it’s definitely a competitor for “smartest”.

One, it doesn’t require a computer to work.  No, this sucker’s straight out of the box and ready to go.  That by itself would be interesting, if not necessarily a qualifier for “smartest”, but what really gets this one going in the “smartest” category is that you can select it to disregard everything but “unexpected intrusions” and similar events.

Now that definitely puts a few extra points in this thing’s corner IQ-wise.  It’s wireless, works on its own, works inside and out, day and night, and can communicate directly with your cell phone or just send you an email when your predefined alert class has been activated.  It’s a pretty awesome wireless camera, and for almost four hundred bucks, it’d have to be.
