Arecont H.264 Megapixel Cameras

Arecont Vision recently unveiled its H.264 IP Cameras during the INTERSEC Middle East. The complete range of cameras offers 1.3, 2, 3 and 5 Megapixels. These Multi streaming capable cameras stream H.264 videos efficiently and are a result of FPGA-based hardware image processing.

“Arecont offers the industry’s first and only full line of H.264 megapixel video surveillance cameras,” said Dr. Vladimir Berezin, President, Arecont Vision. “With up to 25 times higher compression than MJPEG, our new H.264 line of megapixel cameras offers the perfect combination of high resolution and bandwidth efficiency at a very competitive price point.”

Promising 80 billions operations per second, the entire range of cameras offer 25 times greater compression than MJPEG. Offering an aspect ratio of 16 x 9, the images can be scaled to 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720 resolution. The PoE compliant surveillance solutions boast auto-iris functionality, full motion progressive scan resolution and ultra forensic zooming. RTP Protocol supporting device preserves the bandwidth by controlling the resolution.

Price of H.264 cameras not disclosed yet, but you can get them by second quarter of 2008 for sure.
