Augmented Reality for Maintenance and Repair (ARMAR)



Augmented reality has been gaining ground lately and it looks like it is now invading the car repair market. A new technology called Augmented Reality for Maintenance and Repair (ARMAR) has been developed by the Columbia Graphics and User Interface Lab, providing graphic overlays that will assist anyone while making repairs.

The system uses 3D animations to help demonstrate the appropriate tools and techniques to use in various repairs. At the moment, it is still in the testing stages. Check out the video below:
