Looks like BenQ is making cameras for all sorts of occasions and purposes. After the high end C1000 lets now look at the BenQ DC C540 digital compact camera which promises cutting edge functionality without leaving a dent on the individual’s pocket.

The camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels which may not impress the pixel crazy world but should suffice for casual shooting. This one too has an image shake free mode which ensure sharper and better results. To cover all its basis BenQ has incorporated a 3x optical zoom, a large 2.5-inch LTPS display and a SMC (Super Multi-Coating) Pentax lens. There is a Movie mode on the digicam and some nifty features like multi-metering and 3:2 and 16:9 output sizes; 3:2 resolution mode; 16:9 resolution mode for direct display on a 16:9 TV.

The new BenQ DC C540 for enhanced functionality has modes like ProgramAE/Aperture Priority/Shutter Priority/Manual or PASM mode. These settings let one decide how much creative control they want as one can switch to manual settings or automatic settings. Nothing else is known about the camera as of now
