BenQ known more for its functional rather than stylish digicams has silenced its critics by launching the razor thin BenQ X720. The new BenQ X720 proudly sports the tag of being the world’s slimmest 7MP Camera in the World! With its body just measuring 12.5 mm thin, we believe the BenQ folks!

The new digicam apart from a seven megapixel resolution also sports a 3x optical zoom, the renowned smc Pentax (Super Multi-Coating) lens, and 1/2.5 inch CCD image sensor and a vivid 2.5 inch LCD display. The camera is housed in a stainless-steel body with a shiny metal grip and is also a recipient of the 2006 iF China Design Award and 2006 G-mark Good Design Award.

The X720 according to BenQ embodies style and technology and is extremely feature rich. One comes across nifty features and enhancements like S.S.F (Super Shake-Free) system, high light sensitivity of up to ISO 1200 and up to ISO 4000 in recording mode to capture fast pace action. The camera also offers 7-scene modes and is PictBridge compatible. No word on pricing or availability.
