Boeing 3D Imaging Camera Launched

Boeing Launches a new compact 3D imaging camera in the market which should be ideal for use in aerial and ground vehicles. This is a cube-shaped camera and is energy efficient. It only makes use of 1/10th the power compared to other cameras.

To create a 3D image, the camera fires a short pulse of laser light, then measures the pulse’s flight time to determine how far away each part of the camera’s field of view is. It can be used for mapping terrains or tracking targets and comes equipped with advanced sensors developed by MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory.
