CamCaddy Solar Charger–Keep Your Camera Running Anywhere

It’s always nice to have a backup plan in mind for your camera of choice, isn’t it?  You don’t want to be in a position where you long to take that one special photo but find yourself unable to because your camera’s out of juice.

Enter the CamCaddy solar charger, compatible with, at last count, eighty five percent of all camera batteries, ensuring that yours is likely to work with it.  You can even check a list of compatible cameras on the company’s web site to make sure your gear works with it.

This was originally part of a bundle with the Free Loader portable solar array, so I have a good idea how it works.  Basically, it gathers solar power from whereever you happen to be, as long as the panels attached are exposed.  From there, it stores that energy in an onboard battery, where it’ll hold for as long as three months before losing charge.  Once you’ve charged the CamCaddy, you then just plug it in and let the camera recharge.  Then, you put the CamCaddy back in the sun and let it recharge.  Easy!

Look for these separately for about forty five bucks.
