Sanyo Japan announced the Sanyo Xacti CA65 camcorder which is compact yet extremely functional. The CA65 is housed in a waterproof casing and can record VGA (640 X 480 pixels) videos in 30 frames per second.

The Xacti DIGITAL Movie CA65 is equipped with a sensor of 6 mega pixel for still images which can further go ahead to 10 Mpix by interpolation (3680 X 2760 pixels). A mode 16/9 is even available into 3,8 Mpix (2816 X 1584 pixels). Other features include; 5x optical zoom, 12x digital zoom and 1600 ISO in manual mode.
