Sony HDC-1000 High-Definition Camera
Sony unveiled their HDC-1000 studio camera which is actually a multi-format HD studio camera and has a CCD which can can accommodate all existing interlace and progressive scan formats ranging from 1080/50i and 1080/60i to 1080/24P.
The camera weighs 20 kg (44 lb 9 oz, without VF and lens) and has a sensitivity of F10 at 2000 lx (3200K, 89.9% reflectance). The camera has shutter speeds of 1/100, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000 s (1080/60i mode) and 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000 s (1080/50i mode).
In fact soon NEP Broadcasting will be installing 150 Sony high-definition HDC-1500 and HDC-1000 cameras across its operations over the next two years.
