Canon A1100IS Camera Review–Small and Decent
Most of the time, I love Canon’s pieces. Most of the time they give me high quality hardware without a whole lot of need to complain. Oh, sure, some models are less than full strength, but for the most part, some excellent models are on tap from Canon.
And the Canon A1100 IS is one of these better quality models. It’s a twelve megapixel camera with a 4x optical zoom, a DIGIC 4 image processor with evolved face detection technology; face detection self-timer, and compatibility with SD and SDHC memory cards, the MultiMediaCard, the MMC Plus card, and the HC MMC Plus card.
The Canon A1100IS is a pretty simple to use camera, and it has a really nice zoom for a compact digital camera. The best part is the price–you can get one of these new on Amazon for a hundred and thirty bucks, and if you’re willing to go used or refurbished, it’s actually about seventeen bucks cheaper. So it’s a good overall camera at a fantastic price. Not many bells and whistles, but at that price, it’s better off that way.
