In addition to the PowerShot SD780 that was announced today, Canon also presented the PowerShot A480 which will replace the old A470.

According to Canon, this digital camera is on the “low-budget” category but at the same time is able to provide decent quality. It features a 10-megapixel sensor, 3.3x optical zoom, DIGIC III as the imaging processor, and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.

The Canon A480 digicam will become available to the public in March, with a price tag of $130, and in 4 colors: red, blue, black, and silver.

Sure to be a hit as a starter camera for younger photographers and people looking to upgrade from a traditional film camera.
