Canon Announced Hybrid IS Image Stabilization Technology

Canon has announced a new Hybrid IS system which will bring image stabilization to a whole new level. The new system is said to offer you even better images no matter if you’re on the move or your subjects are moving around. Besides bringing that regular shift IS which compensates for vertical and lateral shakes it will also have an angular velocity sensor which monitors every tilt.

You should see the results almost immediately too. You’ll notice a decrease of blur in medium- to long-range shooting. Canon will start using the new Hybrid IS technology in the near future and we’re looking forward to see what cameras the company is about to launch.
