Canon EOS 50D Camera Review–Biggest And Priciest
That’s enough, Canon.
That’s all I could think when I saw the Canon EOS 50D for the first time. That’s enough. Seriously, there’s a limit to most everything and this thousand dollar plus behemoth was pushing it. A line had to be drawn somewhere, and this sure looked like a sand pile in desperate need of a line drawn across it.
The Canon EOS 50D is a fifteen megapixel camera with Enhanced Live View shooting mode, Face Detection Live mode, a lens peripheral illumination correction setting, HDMI output, compatibility with Compact Flash Type I or II memory cards, depth of field preview, eight different picture styles, nine image processing types and a dust deletion feature.
For a thousand dollars this thing should make toast in the morning, and it may not do that but it definitely does everything else. The lens I saw included with this thing would make John Holmes feel inadequate. It’s big, it’s bulky, it costs a small fortune but it’ll do just about anything you could want–for a professional, the Canon EOS 50D might be the way to go. Everyone else will likely be overwhelmed.
