Canon EOS 5D Mark II “Black Dot” Bug Fixed
Filed under: Canon and Software

Remember those problems we mentioned about the ? The “Black Dot” problem? Does that sound familiar? I am sure it does. And you should be aware that managed to fix it. Christmas is gone, New Year’s gone but did manage to release a update to address the problem. Look for update 1.0.7 to fix your camera and start taking normal pictures. No matter what normal means to you. The update also fixes the problem with vertical banding that appears when you record in sRAW1 format.

The dot is still there, with a different color though! Canon managed to remove the black dot, but they actually replaced it with a white one! some people think it’s a hardware issue.. I’m waiting for the next firmware update, hopefully there won’t be any dots!
