Depending on your budget you will see this as good or bad news. Canon has officially unveiled its new DSLR camera, the EOS 7D and now we know it’s going to be available by the end of September. Unfortunately the price is not quite as affordable as some might have hoped for. The EOS 7D costs $1,699 and that’s just the body. Pair it with an EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM zoom lens and the price will go all the way up to $1,899.

As for the specs of the EOS 7D, you can expect it to offer you an 18-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor capable of 8 frames per second continuous shooting, 1080p 24fps HD video with manual control, a 3-inch LCD, 19-point AF system and wireless flash control. You can’t say we didn’t tell you so! So what do you think? Ready to get your EOS 7D?
