Canon has decided to go ahead and launch lots of camcorders just before CES. All of them are rather entry-level devices meant to teach you a thing or two about making vidoes. The VIXIA HF S10 and the VIXIA HF S100 Flash Memory Camcorders will get you some important features which you should definitely take advantage of. The HF S10 features:

• Dual Flash Memory: 32GB internal, plus SDHC expansion slot
• 10x HD video lens
• 1/2.6-inch 8.59 Megapixel Full HD CMOS image sensor
• DIGIC DV III image processor
• 1920×1080 full HD recording at 24Mbps
• 2.7-inch LCD
• 24p cinema mode, 30p progressive mode
• HDMI out

The HF S1000 features:

• No onboard memory, just SDHC expansion slot
• 10x HD video lens
• 1/2.6-inch 8.59 Megapixel Full HD CMOS image sensor
• DIGIC DV III image processor
• 1920×1080 full HD recording at 24Mbps
• 2.7-inch LCD
• 24p cinema mode, 30p progressive mode
• HDMI out

The camcorders will arrive sometime in February and by then we’re hoping we will have some prices for you.
