Canon HF20 Camcorder Review–Much Like the HF21
It’s strange that Canon would choose to release two cameras so similar in features, design and nature so close to each other–downright back to back, in all honesty–but they have, and thus, we take a look at today’s review target, the Canon HF20.
The Canon HF20 is a three megapixel camcorder with a 2.7 inch widescreen LCD monitor, 15x optical zoom, DIGIC DV III image processor, manual focus and auto focus, thirty two gig of onboard memory, compatibility with SD and SDHC memory cards, recording in Dolby digital audio, HDMI output, and a USB interface as well as included video editing software.
You can tell from the specs that what I said is true–the HF21 and the HF20 are very much alike. And on performance, the HF20 is pretty similar, too. In fact, it gets about the same results–fine print from about a hundred feet out–as the HF21.
But at eight hundred bucks, it’s not exactly the cost savings leader, even if it is a pretty impressive camera.
