Canon imageFORMULA DR-2510M & DR-2010M Scanners for MACs Released
Canon USA normally markets products for the PC. But now, it looks like the first batch of scanners for the MAC is finally a reality as Canon unveils two new scanners in the Canon imageFORMULA DR-2510M & DR-2010M. As most businesses and professionals start making use of MACs in their respective places, the MAC used to provide some limitations as far as compatible equipment for them.
But seeing that the growth on the use of MACs has significantly grown through the years, the potential number of printers or scanners catering to the MAC OS was due to arrive. Add to the fact that we all know how MACs are great at producing graphics and images, much better than the standard PCs we have today.
The new Canon DR-2510M and DR-2010M scanners feature a Mac-compatible TWAIN driver. They come bundled with Mac-compatible software like Canon CaptureOnTouch which enables one-touch scanning directly to e-mail, printers, shared network folders. It also addresses the need of applications such as iPhoto for easy transfer of images to an iPhone.
The sophisticated driver and software bundle complements the DR-2510M and DR-2010M scanning hardware to provide users with complete, end-to-end image capture solutions and easier integration into existing workflows.
Both Canon desktop scanners are now available for purchase at all Canon resellers. The imageFORMULA DR-2510M retails for $795 while the DR-2010M costs $555.
