India is the place to be when you talk about people craving for some new digital cameras. Canon India Pvt. Limited, on Thursday launched 23 new SMART next generation digital camera, camcorder, and accessories.

This is the first product launch by the company in 2009. The latest launch includes 8 Digital Compact Cameras, 10 Digital Video Camcorders, 1 Digital SLR, 1 Compact photo printer and 3 lenses.

The products are priced between Rs 8,995 and Rs 1 lakh.

Apart from latest development, the company is also presently enhancing its channel structure to attain maximum coverage in the country, for the digital and camcorder category, which now includes over 1000 retailers, while DSLR channel structure includes 20 distributors and 175 retailers.
