Canon OSK-E3 encryption cracked
You’re probably wondering why I’m showing this picture of the Russians first landing on the moon.
That is because Canon’s encryption has been cracked. Yes, Dmitry Sklyarov and his company Elcomsoft have figured out a vulnerability in Canon’s OSK-E3 system for ensuring photos used in police evidence are legit.
That means that the above photo, obvious tampered with, would pass the authenticity test by technology. Well, this certainly changes things.
