Canon Released Firmware Update for EOS 50D

In case you weren’t expecting this yet, then go get your Canon EOS 50D. Canon has released a firmware update for the DSLR camera. Version 1.0.3 of the software will fix some of the stuff you were complaining about.

The firmware will correct a phenomenon in which an image becomes overexposed when C.Fn.II-3 Highlight tone priority is set to “1” together with other camera settings. It also corrects a rare phenomenon in which “busy” blinks on the camera’s display panel and the shutter can’t be released. Another rare phenomenon which is corrected is the “Err 99″ which might appear on the camera’s display panel and LCD monitor. In this latter case the shutter can’t be released due to the timing of pressing the shutter button.
