Canon Releases New Firmware for the EOS 50D, Rebel XSi and Rebel XS DSLR Cameras

Good news everyone! Canon has just released a new firmware update that affects three new DSLR cameras: the EOS 50D, the Rebel XSi (450D) and the Rebel XS (1000D) The new software will offer support for the AF assist beam on Canon’s Speedlight 270 EX flashgun and it will address the vertical banding noise phenomenon for those of you owning the 50D.
