Canon reveals XH A1S, XH G1S HD Camcorders

Looking for the perfect camera to film that movie you’ve always wanted to make? Maybe one of Canon’s new HD camcorders , the XH A1S and XH G1S will spur your interest.
Both camcorders sport a 20x HD lens complete with three manual adjustment rings allowing for manual zoom and focus. They also feature Instant AF focusing techonlogy, a DIGIC DV II proprietary digital signal processor and two built in XLR terminals, each sporting their own audio-input sensitivity settings, and even support for HDD recoding.
What sets the two models apart however is that the G1S has HD-SDI and SD-SDI output, SMPTE timecode input and ouput, and genlock input.
You didn’t think a set of cameras with all those features would go for cheap, did you? Good, because they are set to launch next month, with the A1S going for $3,999 and the G1S for $6,999.
