Canon SD 980 Camera Review–A Strange One From Canon
Canon usually gives me reason to be happy. Usually the stuff they come out with is at least of passable quality, if nothing else. But today’s item is a little different, in that it’s of passable quality, but it’s also kind of strange. Today we’re talking about the Canon SD 980.
The Canon SD 980 is a twelve megapixel camera with the ability to film in 720p, and it also offers an HDMI output connector, 5x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilizer system, improved Smart AUTO systems that select from twenty two predefined shooting situations and compatibility with SD and SDHC memory cards.
There’s plenty of options in here, and oddly enough, for all these options it’s fairly simple to use. The controls will take a bit of getting used to but that shouldn’t be an impediment for long. It’s a strange one, this is–I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Even the price isn’t half bad–three hundred bucks on Amazon, which is quite a bit, but for a serious camera like this is pretty fair. So if you want a camera with a lot of punch and don’t mind a lot of price, try the Canon SD 980.
