Canon Updates EOS 7D Firmware to Version 1.2.2



Canon has announced that the firmware for their EOS 7D DSLR is getting updated today to version 1.2.2. If you’re not familiar with this camera it features an 18 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and the ability to record up to 1080p HD video.

Anyways, below are the improvements added with firmware version 1.2.2:

  • Fixes a phenomenon in which the set aperture moves when shooting movies in manual exposure mode using some Canon lenses (e.g. macro)
  • Fixes the AF point-selection of the C.Fn III-7 (Manual AF pt. selec. pattern) custom function when set to [1]
  • Fixes the AF point display for the viewfinder electronic level when shooting in the vertical position
  • Corrects misspellings in Spanish/Thai menus
