Canon U.S.A. just rolled out their new high-performance VB-C500D Fixed Mini Dome Network Camera. The feature-rich network camera is the best choice for areas where security is the highest priority. The VB-C500D integrates Genuine Canon Optics and powerful DIGIC NET Processor for high precession and superior results.  

The Canon VB-C500D includes a high-end Canon image Processor which ensures superior image quality. The Smart Shade Control delivers detailed images by automatically adjusting the contrasts between bright and dark areas. The Auto/Day Night function automatically switches the camera modes between day and night according to the lighting conditions available.

The Network camera features an 82-degree wide angle lens with 2.4x optical zoom (manual) and 4x digital zoom. It supports simultaneous video encoding in Motion-JPEG (M-JPEG) and MPEG-4 video at 30fps in 640 x 480 VGA resolution.Other features include Motion Detection, Audio Input/Output, Recording Stream Function, IPv6 and IPsec Support (IP security).

The Canon VB-C500D Fixed Mini Dome Network Camera is scheduled to begin shipping in May 2009 at the suggested list price of $899.
