Canon Vixia HF-M31 Camera Review–Worth Every Penny
I’ve got another Canon Vixia to talk to you about today, and these things are really exciting camcorders, even if they do have their drawbacks. Today’s special is the Canon Vixia HF-M31, and it will definitely get your pulse pounding…but maybe for the wrong reasons.
The Canon Vixia HF-M31 camcorder offers a 15x optical zoom with 300x digital zoom augmentation, a 2.7 inch LCD touchscreen monitor, Dynamic SuperRange optical image stabilizer, night recording capability, a variety of special effects, editing software, and thirty two gig of onboard memory with a USB input and support for Secure Digital memory cards.
When you consider the camcorder’s performance–a beautiful picture on the LCD screen, easy to use controls (especially if you’ve used some other Canon Vixias), sufficient memory to store eight DVDs and plenty more besides–it becomes understandable that a camcorder like this would be high priced. And indeed, that’s the biggest drawback of this beautiful monster of a camcorder: it sells for seven hundred bucks at Best Buy, and that’s a sale price.
However, you can rest assured that, unlike so much of life, the Canon Vixia HF-M31 will prove to be worth its purchase price. It may cost quite a bit but it brings a sufficient amount of quality to the table to make it worth a look.
