Canon presented the upgraded version of its BU-45H HD PTZ camera. The robotic pan camera is widely used in many applications such as television broadcasts, traffic and weather monitoring, security and more. The remote controlled camera is a cost effective solution for high resolution recording and broadcasts. BU-45H boasts a small, lightweight and rugged outer shell (weighing 37 lbs. approximately) which resists dust and water.

The tilt and zoom HD 16:9 camera system includes three 1/3-inch (1,670,000-pixel) CCDs, a Canon HD zoom lens with 20X optical zoom, Genlock input for video system synchronization, HD-SDI and SD-SDI output and a remote-control ND filter. Canon exhibited the latest iVIS HV30 Camcorder at PMA 2008. The full HD camcorder comes with a dual flash memory. The iVIS HV30 is expected to reach Japan market in early March. The Camcorder features Mini DV storage, 2.96M full HD CMOS sensor, 10X zoom HD lens and a 2.7-inch wide LCD.

The PowerShot employs a powerful 8.0 megapixel CCD-type image sensor with a fast 4X (35mm-140mm equivalent) optical zoom lens for supreme quality output. Canon's proprietary DIGIC III imaging processor boosts performance by improving response times producing sharper images.

The camera offers comprehensive control through 16 selection modes with fully or semi automatic options. With Face Detection technology, it bestows up to 9 faces with perfect exposure and uses special algorithm to automatically prioritize the Faces. However, the can be instructed to keep a track of a face through the Face Select and Track function regardless of its position in the frame.
