Canon Powershot A630 Camera Review

canon-a630-thumb.jpgSteve’s Digicam did a review of the Canon Powershot A630 and lets see what he has to say. The digicam was liked for its ergonomics, its zoom controls, and its high-quality 2.5-inch vari-angle LCD, its robust shooting performance and its 4x zoom instead of the normal 3x. What he didn’t like was that at times the camera did suffer from purple fringing and lens distortion.

The A630 has a an eight megapixel resolution and is equipped with a 4x optical lens and a 2.5 inch LCD. There is an optical viewfinder too on the digicam, which will keep many folks happy. Another nifty feature is the Histogram function that allows you to check the brightness of a potential shot and then decide accordingly. The digicam has the Canon’s proprietary DIGIC II imaging processor which is capable of “high-definition and higher-speed processing”.

In the end the review writes "last year we said "Canon has struck gold" with the A620 and A610, and this year they have done it yet again. These models(A630) continue to be some of our favorites in this class, offering style, versatility, excellent image quality, speedy performance, and a wealth of exposure modes, all in a rugged metal/plastic shell.
