Canon Power-shot G7 Digital Camera
If shiny and colorful digicams are not your thing then do take a look at the new Canon Powershot G7 which screams understated elegance and sports a “wet black matte finish,” housing and a sophisticated leather-toned grip. The camera may look like a blast from the past with its looks and the onboard analog-style ISO Speed Dial and Shooting Mode Dial; however there is nothing old about the G7!
The G7 offers an impressive 10 megapixel resolution which shall appeal to a wider demographic. The digicam is also equipped with a DIGIC III chip which ensures superior camera performance by increasing the levels of start up, autofocus and shutter response times and also maximizes processing speed. It is equipped with a f/2.8-4.8 6X optical zoom lens with lens-shift image stabilization system and the onboard 1.4x/2.3x digital tele-converter works just like an actual teleconverter lens.
The camera also includes a new feature called Safety Zoom which is capable of non-stop digital zoom operation at reduced resolution settings and one can also buy optional accessories like optical wide-angle (WC-DC58B), telephoto (TC-DC58C) and close-up (58mm 250D) supplementary lenses. Other features include; 31 minutes of video recordings with a 1024 x 768 XGA resolution, SDHC Memory Card/SD Memory Card/MultiMedia Card support, “My Colors” and “My Category” features and Face Detection AF/AE.
