Canon PowerShot SD900 Camera Review

20060914_hiRes_sd900-thumb.jpgThe recently launched Canon PowerShot SD900 has been reviewed by Cnet and they give it brownie points for its compact and comfortable design, its decent image quality and its overall quick performance. What they didn’t like was its tendency to produce fringing and its few manual controls.

The Canon SD900 has a 10 Megapixel resolution and features a 2.5- inch, 230,000-pixel, color TFT LCD screen.Sporting a "perpetual curve design" and a Titanium casing this one is both stylish and functional! The Canon SD900 Digital ELPH also has a Real-image Zoom Viewfinder which acts an alternative to the 2.5 LCD. It also includes a 3x optical zoom lens with a focal length of 7.7–23.1 mm (35 mm film equivalent 37–111 mm), f/2.8–f/4.9 and Shooting Modes and White Balance Settings like. Auto, Day Light, Cloudy, Tungsten, Fluorescent, Fluorescent H. The camera has an internal memory of 32MB and includes a standard Movie Mode too.

The review concludes by saying "A very good compact camera, the 10-megapixel Canon PowerShot SD900 nonetheless falls short of its faster, more full-featured, albeit lower-resolution competitors."
