Another new Camera to make its debut this April comes from the trusty stables of Canon. The new Canon PowerShot TX1 is a "double-duty" digital camera as it incorporates the goodness of a 7.1 MP camera and a HD Video Recorder.

The TX1 is housed in a stainless steel casing and unlike standard cameras this one is a vertical shooter. It comes outfitted with a 10x optical zoom lens and a swivel vari-angle LCD screen. For enhanced imagery Canon has thrown in its new DIGIC III processor which promises faster start up and response times. One also comes across the proprietary optical image stabilization system to combat image blur.

The Canon Powershot TX1 can record 720p High Definition movies at 16:9 (widescreen format) at 30 fps and with 44 KHz Stereo Sound which give sit an extra edge. Other features include; ISO speed ratings from 80 to 1600, 14 shooting modes, an intelligent orientation sensor and advanced face detection and red-eye correction.

The TX1 should see an April release and would retail for $499.99.
