Canon XH G1 HD Video Camcorder Supports HDTV Test in Outer Space

Canon’s recently introduced XH G1 HD camcorder traveled into space for use in testing concerning the capture of digital high-definition television (HDTV) images on the newest space shuttle mission. The XH GI camcorder was taken on the space shuttle Discovery, launched on October 23 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, and used in HDTV testing together passed out on the International Space Station by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

The XH G1 HD camcorder from Canon employs a Genuine Canon 20x HD zoom lens including a fluorite lens constituent to make sure exceptional resolution and contrast. The Camcorder is designed in a compact, lightweight shape and unites incomparable mobility with striking high-resolution 1080i HD video and gives out the same high-performance capabilities as the Canon’s earlier model XL H1. The Camcorder is also equipped with a three 1/3-inch native 16:9 CCDs to realize 1.67-megapixel imaging performance.
