Review: Canon Power-Shot G7
The folks over at Cameras.Co.UK have reviewed the popular Canon Powershot G7 and like the camera for its build quality, its feature set and its price tag. However the only think they found irritating was the apparent shutter lag.
The G7 offers an impressive 10 megapixel resolution which shall appeal to a wider demographic. The digicam is also equipped with a DIGIC III chip which ensures superior camera performance by increasing the levels of start up, auto-focus and shutter response times and also maximizes processing speed. It is equipped with a f/2.8-4.8 6X optical zoom lens with lens-shift image stabilization system and the onboard 1.4x/2.3x digital tele-converter works just like an actual tele-converter lens. Other features include; 31 minutes of video recordings with a 1024 x 768 XGA resolution, SDHC Memory Card/SD Memory Card/MultiMedia Card support, My Colors and My Category features and Face Detection AF/AE.
The website concludes "Overall there is a lot to like about the Canon Powershot G7. It is a camera aimed at enthusiasts and you will need to commit time to learning how the camera works in order to get the most out of it. You will find that it is time well spent."
