Casio Exilim EX-S5 Camera Review–A Pleasant Surprise

A bit of a revelation for you to start off today, folks, I didn’t even really know that Casio made digital cameras.  I probably should have known, but I never saw them around in stores.  So when I laid hands on a Casio Exilim, I was surprised to find that it’s a fairly solid camera in a tiny little package.

The Casio Exilim EX-S5 is a ten megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom, ad 2.7 inch LED touchscreen control, and is compatible with SDHC and SD memory cards, as well as the Eye-Fi Wireless Card.

Surprisingly, this is actually a fairly easy to use setup with its share of bells and whistles.  Of course, I have one serious problem with it that I confess won’t bother everyone–the buttons on this camera are EXTREMELY small, and if you have larger fingers like myself, you might find yourself having to make a couple stabs at getting a button to depress just right.

But considering that the Casio Exilim EX-S5 retails for a whopping hundred and five dollars (that whopping is a bit sarcastic, really, this is inexpensive by most every standard), you can probably learn to live with slightly uncooperative controls for such a good value.
