Casio EXILIM Z400

Casio’s state-of-the-art EXILIM Z400 features lots of exciting improvements over earlier models. In addition to a 4x optical zoom and a big 3.0 inch LCD screen, a new Dynamic Photo function is included that allows a photographer to cut out the main subject of interest in a newly-captured image and then combine it with another image to form the background. Users can also cut and paste several rapid-succession images to create a moving subject against any background of their choosing.

This function makes it to create composite scenes from that normally only exist in virtual reality using regular digital photographs in the camera. This kind of Casio technology is blurring the lines that once existed between software special effects and digital web design, making the camera much more of a creative instrument in its own right than it has ever been in the past. The Casio EXILIM Z400 retails for right around $550.
