Casio extends its line of Exilim digital cameras with the introduction of its new EX-F1. The EX-F1 was rated as one of the Top 20 Products to be shown at the CES 2008 by Popular Mechanics, which was very well deserved considering its unbelievable features. Along with the effective 6-megapixel lens and 12x digital zoom, the EX-F1 features a high-speed CMOS sensor and a high-speed LSI processor chip, that can capture still images at a burst speed of an impressive 60 frames per second and video at a superfast 1200 frames per second. Trusted Reviews have reviewed the Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 and liked it for its 10 MP resolution, its technical finesse. its image quality and its slim ergonomics. However the camera at times did suffer from image noise but it was much less when compared to other compact cameras in its class.

However the camera at times suffered from noise and the LCD was unreadable in bright light.

Casio has released a number of updates for some models of their digicams.
This is the list of updates:
* Casio EXILIM EX-S770 Version 1.02 - adds support for SDHC memory cards with capacities of 8GB or greater, as well as support for Windows Vista PTP image transfer;
* Casio EXILIM EX-Z1000 Version 1.03 - adds support for SDHC memory cards with capacities of 8GB or greater;
* Casio EXILIM EX-Z850 Version 1.20 - adds support for SDHC memory cards with capacities of 8GB or greater;
* Casio EXILIM EX-Z850 Version 1.2B - an alternative to the 1.20 firmware above, this contains the same SDHC card compatibility change, but also offers improved HQ mode movie quality (less noise, smoother lines) but this is achieved at the cost of a 40% narrower field of view in HQ movie mode. This firmware is also said to fix a problem with snapshot processing in the V1.1B firmware.

Looks like Casio forgot to introduce its new Exilim EX-Z65 at the PMA, but hey no worries as we here at Image Acquire are all camera junkies!

The Casio Exilim Z65 is actually a successor to the Z60 and is a six megapixels digital camera with some great features. The camera is housed in a slim aluminum casing and has some advance functions to its credit including; Anti-Shake DSP.

The Casio Exilim Z65 has been equipped with a 2.6-inch wide LCD display and a 3x optical zoom lens. It includes an Easy Mode which makes life simpler for the amateur photographer by taking care of creation settings. No word on pricing or availability
