Review Of Casio EX-Z1000 Camera
Think Review did a review of the Casio EX-Z1000 and like it for its mage quality, its pixels, styling, build quality, and its control system. What they didn’t like was the digicams scene modes which were found to be garish and the expensive price tag.
The Casio EX-Z1000 with its 1/1.8" high-res CCD and 10 MP resolutions produces vivid and sharp images. The propriety Exilim Engine like all cameras in the series ensures realistic color tones and prevents images from being over saturated. The camera boasts of a large 2.8" preview LCD (in wide format) for easy viewing and navigation and the extra large 230,400 pixel LCD offers a maximum brightness of 1,200 cd/square meter making viewing possible even in broad daylight. The camera also includes the exclusive Anti Shake DSP technology which ensures sharp images even during low light conditions and high speed shots. There is a Rapid Shot Mode too which lets one take up to three shots per second, enabling high speed flash photography.
In the end the website writes “I had the Casio EX-Z1000 on test at the same time as a number of other cameras. I have shot far more pictures with the Casio than with any of the other cameras because it’s tiny enough to slip into a pocket and I knew that I could rely on it for quality pictures. If I was looking for a sleek compact that got me great results and had plenty of pixels then I would almost certainly buy the Z1000. However, I still think 10MP may be a step too far for many users. If you want a great looking compact, routinely crop your pictures (or use digital zoom) and are happy paying a premium for larger file sizes then it’s unlikely you will do better than the EX-Z1000. Personally, I’d shop hard and get a bargain on the Z600 while it’s still around.”
