Corsair 256GB Extreme Series SSD Launched



As more people clamor for larger storage for their digital cameras and camcorders, memory card manufacturers can only oblige to do so. The latest large-scale storage solution comes from Corsair with the release of the Corsair 256GB Extreme Series SSD.

The new SSD seems to answer the storage capacity needs of people who are addicted to snapping some shots or capturing actual videos. But the real highlight of these Extreme Series SSDs is the outstanding speed that most users require. It boasts of a read speed of 240MB/s and write speeds of up to 170MB/s. Additionally, it features a 64MB of cache for stutter-free performance.

With its release, the Corsair 256GB Extreme Series SSD now joins the ranks of existing models like the X32, X64 and X128. The Corsair Extreme Series X256 solid-state drive is available at all of Corsair’s authorized distributors and resellers worldwide with a price range of $695 and up.
