Creative Vado HD Pocket Camcorder Gets Second Version

So if you’re a fan of the Vado HD line of pocket camcorders from Creative, but you didn’t think the first version was quite what you were after, then take heart.  Creative announced its new line of Vado HD Pocket Camcorders and they’ve got a special surprise.

Hey, Mac users!  If YOU like the Vado HD then you’re going to be exceedingly glad to know that Creative has enhanced the Vado line with special software–the Vado Central, specifically–that makes transferring your product to iMovie a whole lot easier than it ever was.  And for those of you who don’t use Macs, the camera itself still looks pretty nice, with an eight-gig version weighing in at two hundred bucks and a four-gig costing a very slightly less one hundred eighty, making me wonder why anyone would actually buy the four-gig at all when you get twice the storage for twenty bucks.

These should be available for pre-orders now, and their Vado Central software by itself should follow later on this September.  So if you like the Vado line, or if you weren’t too happy and own a Mac, then it’s probably a good time to look into a Vado HD.
