Here is something that is related to the summer season. With the probability of constant traveling apparent, boating has to be on the agenda of some. And while you are enjoying sailing out in the sea, why not capture some moments in the process in case you forget to consider it. Then, you can perhaps use that for a contest, showing off the shots you took from your camera. A contest like the i-Discovered Boating video and photo contest would be ideal to join, a contest that you can join without much effort.

At stake is a $10,000 prize and a chance to be featured in a national advertising campaign for Discover Boating. All entries have to be submitted by June 30 and the winners will be proclaimed by July 15.

“Every boater has a personal story on why they take to the water, whether it’s a favorite family pastime, stress relief from the life on land or just the feeling of wind in their hair. It’s these personal experiences that drive an estimated 70 million Americans to go boating each year,” says Carl Blackwell, spokesman for Discover Boating. “We hope to spread this passion for the boating lifestyle by providing a forum for boaters to share their unique perspective of how they discovered boating.”
