If you ever wanted an organization that seems to be devoted to innovation as a way of life, look at Disney. These guys have been constantly pushing the envelope on just about everything tech-related since the early twentieth century.  And if you ever wanted proof, check out no less than Walt himself giving you a rundown of the multiplane camera.

Lest you think too lightly of this achievement, remember that this video comes to us from way back around the time that Bambi was shot, back in 1942.

As cameras go, this is like someone taking pictures at Studio 54 with a Coolpix back in the seventies.  It’s extraordinarily cutting edge for its time, and as for us, Disney gives us an incredible look at what was, and what helped get us to where we are today.
