Do You Really Need a DSLR Camera?
Photography is at its peak lately and this can be seen through the growing number of people who are getting one. One question though, do you really need one? Some people are driven to get a DSLR camera mainly due to the trend while others are aspiring to explore what makes it so fascinating. But bear in mind that the coast of owning does not come cheap.
A DSLR camera is certainly different from a standard digital camera. One of the features you may look for is the movie capture option which is certainly not included. Further, when you buy a DSLR camera, bear in mind that the purchase price normally does not include the camera lens. In short, you may be just buying the body of the camera.
Another thing to consider is that of operating a DSLR. It is not as simple as snapping a shot on a simple digital camera. For one, they are sensitive to nudges or slight movements. You can check it out for yourself when you see the shot you made. Perhaps that is why tripod are needed especially if you want still shots to be perfect.
Overall, just be open-minded about it. Once you see them at the store, chances are you become unconscious in wanting to buy it. Be practical. It may be a fad but unless you plan to really specialize in professional photography, you are just wasting your money on something that may very well end up shelved somewhere.
